1Who we are
Unstung is made by Cy-Sec Awareness and Consultancy Ltd, company number 13176798, registered in England and Wales at Office 1 Izabella House, 24–26 Regent Place, Birmingham B1 3NJ. ICO registration ZC127066. We are the data controller for anything described here. Contact privacy@cy-sec.co.uk.
2The short version
Unstung does not collect, send or store any of your data on our systems. We have no servers, no accounts and no analytics. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
3What the app stores and where
Renewal dates, providers, prices, notes, quotes and your savings history are stored on your iPhone only. If you turn on iCloud backup (an Unstung Pro feature), the same data is stored in your personal iCloud under your Apple ID. Apple’s privacy policy covers iCloud; we cannot read it. Export and Delete everything are in Settings → Your data.
4Notifications
Notifications are scheduled on your phone. The text names the renewal type and the action, never the provider or the price.
5Face ID and Touch ID
The optional lock uses Apple’s own authentication. Biometric data never leaves the device and is never available to the app.
6Purchases
Purchases are handled by the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we receive no personal details.
7Request a type
Request a type opens your own mail app with a message addressed to us containing the text you typed plus the app and iOS version. The app sends nothing itself. We keep those emails to improve the type library and delete them when they are no longer needed.
8Links to other sites
Get quotes opens a comparison site in Safari. Their privacy policy applies from that point.
9Company numbers
If you add a limited company and type its company number to look it up, that number is sent to Companies House, the UK government register, to fetch the company’s public filing dates. It is sent directly from your phone, and we never see it. Nothing else is sent with it. Their privacy policy applies to that request.
10This website
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. It loads nothing from other companies. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and operation; see Vercel’s privacy policy.
11Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to our using it, or withdraw consent. For the app there is nothing for us to hold. Email privacy@cy-sec.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
12Children
Unstung is not directed at children under 13.
13Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top.
